40 year old Leylandii going brown

Q) I have a 40 year old very tall Leylandii, 3 of which this summer have gone very brown. Can this be corrected in old trees?

A) Leylandii often tend to turn brown at the height of summer, it isn't unusual for them to turn brown and probably this is the most common outcome unless you live in a very wet area or had exceptional amounts of rain.

At 40 years old your Leylandii aren't really all that old compared to how long they have to live. You should see them come back to a normal colour from around October onwards.

This row of trees are turning brown and I am really concerned that I will lose the privacy curtain the the trees have provided for the past 45 years. Can I spray or treat them?
